There's a difference between Lord and Lady Productions and Visualize Productions. We work for Lord and Lady, but when I got some requests to edit some films for other people, I had to make another studio in which we did that. We called it Visualize Productions. Visualize Productions now, every year, will make either four or five short clips, or one longer, 20-30 minute film. Lord and Lady, every year, will focus more on the dramatic, long, hard plots and will film one in a year. This year, Lord and Lady Productions is attempting to make Grail Lords, while Visualize is in pre-production for Fr. Brown.
So far the only thing we're doing in pre-production is writing the script, which should be finished soon. Also, we have selected the Fr. Brown story we will film:
The Prince of Saradine
I found this story to mix best with it's mix of comedy as well as drama. We are forced to cut out a lot of scenes as well as some of the characters (such as Mrs. Anthony), But we have added other parts to fill it in. It may be a little changed, but know that it is the best we can do. We have decided to make only one, as we can afford only one. Let it be known, Visualize Productions and L&L are hard on cash. This productions will begin shooting sometime in March and end shooting in June, and shall be premiering in December at the very latest. Trailers can be expected in July. Also, the posters will be available in April.
Wish us luck!
-Dan Mellino, Director for Lord and Lady Productions and Visualize Productions
This will, most likely, be the last video post of The Crusader's Tale, so please enjoy. We don't have a ton of funny ones, so we just put together a few of the funnier ones. Also, the productions of The Crusader's Tale officially ends after it has had it's premier in CA, which should be on this Friday. Enjoy! And we are now onto Fr. Brown which will take us a month or so until we have some official pictures of which.
We told you a week or two ago, that our next project would be Fr. Brown in the spring, and Enigma in the summer/fall, but, recently the project was changed. Fr. Brown will be filmed in the spring, but our summer/fall project has been changed. Our Cast and Crew said they wanted something else. A project many of us had already imagined but refused to make. However, we thought it over and we are decided. The project will now be a fall/winter project and will premier spring-summer 2013. So, without further ado, please watch the first video on our channel:
If you can't understand what they said, the lines are underneath the video. We hope you were surprised as much as we were. Long wait huh? Filming begins October 1st.
Here it is! The Final Battle! The Battle for the Grail Ends here! Godfey, even from the original story, was the champion of the church while Baldwin is the heretic attacking the church. The Grail is evidence of The Last Supper and hence, it is a symbol of the Church. Baldwin's plans, in case you don't remember, is to sell it to a well known, and corrupt, knight in the Church and then expose him, anonymously, thus causing a scandal, and perhaps, civil war in the Church. But, before he can, he must kill everyone who knows of his plans. This includes the seven Grail Lords (not including himself as he is also a Grail Lord): the five you haven't seen, Macar, and Godfrey. So, without further ado, The Crusader's Tale - Part 13:
And now, after three years, Danny has finally finished his first full length production! It's been a long journey. This marks the end of our journey. All that is left to post are bloopers, commentaries, and stuff like that. And perhaps, in a few years, we can provide you with an extended edition... who knows... without further ado, The Crusader's Tale - Part 14:
We hope you enjoyed this project as much as we enjoyed watching it. Making it is an entirely different matter. So, please comment and tell us what you thought. Please stay tuned for our 2012 short production of G.K. Chesterton's Fr. Brown Series.
I love origins! Speaking of which, we have decided to take you back 4-6 years ago when a certain Paul Xavier decided to attempt something which looked like a typical homemade movie making project. In 2008 he left a post on his website in which he started a studio he called "Lord and Lady Productions" underneath the link, you will see a link which says: "The Crusader's Tale - Homemade Film Script," and if you click that, it will take you to the original script for TCT which took us two years of ideas and raw footage to decide on the story we have now. Considering it was Paul Xavier's first try at a script, please stifle those few chuckles you're gonna get.
In the original story, Godfrey de Arnaud's name was actually Macar de Blendil. And his father was a leper. Two additional character we added later were Baldwin and Fr.Le Vigny. Originally, the priest had no name. But we dubbed him Fr. Bibost. Their was no real villain in the original, and the film had no climactic ending, just simply, either, leaving you to decide how it should end or the necessity for the makers to make a sequel. Seeing the need for a real villain, Paul Xavier rewrote it for us with a new villain: Baldwin.
2009 saw Danny having failed many films. The film he had promised a friend living in CA was impossible to create and was, hence, shelved. Then, his attempts to film a rewritten version of the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was also failed. He was then prepared to go back to just making small homemade films. In August of 2009, he found himself on the phone with Paul Xavier and began asking a question he had thought about, but was skeptical of the idea. "I've read your script of The Crusader's Tale on your blog and was wondering, would you give us permission you make it under the name of Lord and Lady Productions as you haven't been able to film it yet?" Paul gave permission and, almost immediately, we began shooting the original story.
After trying this version on for size, we found it not able to be an epic film. And wrote another version. This one, we attempted to film, but found it needed something extra and wrote, yet again, another version. This one, we merged version 1 and version 2 to come up with the story we have now. There has been no original scripts for the story we have now. It was a story of our own ideas. We never took the time to write down, officially. It was all left up to Danny's memory and imagination. And hence, we are now done shooting, and almost done with the post-production.
Now, We have Part 12. Part 12 has the film subtitles which are more readable. This is a dream scene, just to let you know. Some people didn't know what it was. So, without further ado, The Crusader's Tale - Part 12:
First, let's start with Part 10. They're being stubborn and not letting me use any of the music i wanted for that scene. But, you can still watch it WITH the same music on the channel. Also, we now have The Crusader's Tale Part 11! On this clip is the intermission that is on the DVD, so once it gets to the intermission, know there isn't anything after that. So, without further ado, The Crusader's Tale - Part 11 (3 parts to go):
Unfortunately Part 10's audio was muted due to what they say was a copyright infringement... which doesn't make sense as we've used the same track in another video anyway... Oh well. Rules are rules. So, we are going to mix with the audio and bring Part 10 back. The same post will contain the NEW Part 10. You will be alerted when it is uploaded. Sorry about that!
